Israel attacks Syria, the West Bank, and Gaza while additional fronts in the conflict with Hamas threaten to flare up.

 


the Gaza Strip RAFAH, A.P. Israeli aircraft struck targets in Gaza on Saturday and into Sunday as well as two airports in Syria and a mosque in the occupied West Bank that militants were allegedly exploiting, as the two-week war with Hamas threatened to escalate into a bigger conflict.

Israel and the militant Hezbollah organization in Lebanon have been exchanging fire nearly every day since the war began. In the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where Israeli soldiers have lately engaged in fighting with militants in refugee camps and launched two airstrikes, tensions are at an all-time high.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hezbollah would "make the mistake of its life" if it attacked Israel, warning soldiers in northern Israel. We'll use force to stop it.
